Applied Shamanism Certificates & Training

The Certificate Programs in Applied Shamanic Practice and Plant Medicine Integration provide a well-grounded and comprehensive shamanic training that is entirely relevant to the modern context. Graduates of these programs will have all the tools they need to establish and maintain a healing practice based in shamanic principles. You can take Applied Shamanism™ courses at the Foundation of the Sacred Stream as part of our certificate programs offered through The Circle of Shamanic Practitioners. Below are the courses we offer through our advanced training programs and our two certificate programs.

Registering for the Advanced Applied Shamanic Certificate Training

Recognizing that people have different needs and schedules and that life circumstances change, we do not require students to register for the entire program all at once. Instead, students can take classes at their own pace and pay as they go. When you know you would like to pursue the Certificate in Advanced Applied Shamanic Certificate, you simply let us know and we will keep you up to date with notifications of requirements, upcoming classes, and other pertinent information. All of our Applied Shamanism™ classes are available in an online format, with the exception of the Advanced Seminar in Applied Shamanic Practice course, which must be taken at the Sacred Stream Center in Berkeley, CA.

Certificate in Applied Shamanic Practice

Students who complete this training and an annual report become members of the Circle of Shamanic Practitioners and are listed as practitioners on this site. There is an annual fee for listing and review. The following classes are required for the Certificate in Applied Shamanic Practice:

• Next Steps in the Guiding of Souls
• Depth Hypnosis Foundation Course (the homework must be completed)
• Advanced Applied Shamanism
• Working with Dreams
• Fundamentals of Integrated Energy Medicine
• Applied Shamanic Counseling
• The Path of Service

Session Transcripts and Review

• Students must turn in ten (10) transcripts of sessions with clients for review. Transcripts must be turned in within 18 months of taking the Advanced Applied Shamanism Retreat and must pass review.
• Report on attendance at 1 Space Clearing with the Space Clearing Society.
• Report on attendance at 1 Circles for the Earth Community Circle.
• Students must complete the Depth Hypnosis Foundation Course homework and 5 sessions with a Depth Hypnosis Practitioner.
• Session transcript review and one-time certificate fee of $295.
• Renewal requirements include an annual report and annual fee of $195.
• For active Depth Hypnosis Practitioners, there is no annual fee.

The cost to pursue this certificate can vary, depending on practitioner fees for private sessions and the location where you complete the coursework, but most students invest between $7500 and $9500 (including courses, fees, and sessions).

Plant Medicine Integration Certificate

Students who complete this training are eligible to receive the certificate in Plant Medicine Integration and for active Applied Shamanic Practitioners, this certificate will be included on their website listing. The requirements for the certificate in Plant Medicine Integration are as follows:

• Completion of Certificate in Applied Shamanic Practice (above).
• Attendance at the following workshops:

• Plant Medicine: Preparing and Integrating the Experience
• Advanced Training in Plant Medicine

* Please note that students who are not interested in the certificate in plant medicine are welcome to take the courses in plant medicine.

Advanced Applied Shamanism Training

Students who would like to further their study of Applied Shamanism™, but are not interested in completing the certificate program, can proceed with the following sequence of workshops:

• The Shamanic Journey (Prerequisite: None)
• Next Steps in the Shamanic Journey (Prerequisite: The Shamanic Journey)
• Power Retrieval & the Middle World (Prerequisite: The Shamanic Journey)
• Soul Retrieval & the Guiding of Souls (Prerequisite: Power Retrieval & the Middle World)
• Next Steps in Soul Retrieval (Prerequisite: Soul Retrieval & the Guiding of Souls)
• Next Steps in the Guiding of Souls (Prerequisite: Soul Retrieval & the Guiding of Souls)
• Advanced Applied Shamanism (Prerequisite: All courses listed above)

Plant Medicine Training

Students who would like to further their study of Applied Shamanism, but are not interested in completing the certificate program, can proceed with the following sequence of workshops:

• Plant Medicine: Preparing and Integrating the Experience (Prerequisite: None)
• Advanced Training in Plant Medicine (Prerequisite: Advanced Applied Shamanism)
