The Wisdom of Emotions

The Wisdom of Emotions with Khensur Thupten Tenzin Rinpoche

In The Wisdom of Emotions, Khensur Rinpoche Thupten Tenzin will explore the anatomy of emotions, revealing how mental states will shape emotional responses. Drawing from Shantideva’s The Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, he will share profound insights into working with our emotional experiences to foster a balanced and stable response to life’s challenges. Khensur Rinpoche, a revered Tantric master, will demonstrate how Vajrayana practice can help us connect with the core qualities of strong emotions, enabling us to transform them into powerful teachers. Additionally, he will offer practices to help loosen the attachments often embedded within difficult emotions, allowing us to approach them with greater awareness and equanimity.

Throughout the course, Khensur Rinpoche will provide practical guidance for engaging with emotions in a mindful and constructive way. These teachings will be rooted in centuries of Buddhist wisdom, offering a path toward emotional clarity and resilience. Translator Nyima Tsam, an expert in Dharma translation, will provide seamless Tibetan-to-English translation, ensuring that students can fully engage with the teachings in their original context.

This class will present a unique opportunity to learn directly from Khensur Rinpoche Thupten Tenzin, one of the rare wisdom holders of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Participants will gain invaluable insights into the intersection of mind, emotion, and spiritual practice, helping them navigate life’s emotional landscape with greater ease and wisdom.

The course will consist of several recorded lectures and supporting meditations, all accessible through a student portal six weeks before the live Q&A session with Khensur Rinpoche. The lectures, delivered in Tibetan, will be translated into English by Nyima Tsam, ensuring clear understanding of the teachings.

Please Note: If you are new to Buddhist practice, it is highly recommended that you take Applied Buddhist Psychology 1: Entering the Stream and Applied Buddhist Psychology 2: The Enlightened Mind as an introduction to Buddhism. These are available On Demand.
