Coming to Peace: Conflict Resolution Techniques

Coming to Peace: Conflict Resolution Techniques

Coming to Peace: Conflict Resolution Techniques is an advanced professional training in an integrative approach to conflict resolution that restores connection, clarity, and forward movement in individuals, groups, and organizations. Designed for facilitators and practitioners working in complex interpersonal environments, this method offers practical and effective ways to address the kinds of conflict that can derail relationships, undermine well-intended initiatives, and slow organizational progress.

Coming to Peace is an integrative conflict resolution training taught by Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D. and Joanna Adler that empowers participants to meet conflict directly and skillfully, with greater confidence in their ability to understand its deeper dynamics and guide it toward meaningful resolution. Designed for both personal and professional contexts, this approach offers facilitators a productive way to identify and transform the interpersonal friction that can derail relationships, impede well-intended initiatives, and slow progress within organizations and communities.

Drawing from indigenous mediation practices from Hawaii, Southern Africa, and the Iroquois League of North America, as well as Buddhist principles of Fierce Compassion and Radical Self-Responsibility and the Depth Hypnosis model, this training guides participants in working skillfully with the deeper roots of discord rather than merely managing surface-level disagreement. Participants learn how to remain calm and grounded in volatile situations, address problematic behavior constructively, and facilitate conversations that lead to genuine understanding and durable solutions that serve the highest good of all involved.

Based on the work of Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D. and her book, Coming to Peace: Resolving Conflict within Ourselves and Others (co-author, Laura Chandler), this course is the final requirement for certification as a Coming to Peace Facilitator. The training provides the tools needed to bridge divides, build trust, and increase communication, transparency, and efficiency, while supporting the creation of productive, innovative, and successful workplaces and communities. Course tuition includes certificate and postage fees; additional postage may apply for addresses outside the United States.
