Tracking Spirit in the Birth Environment
Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D., author of The New Return to the Great Mother, designed this class to help mothers, partners, and birth professionals stay connected with the unseen yet powerful resources that are contained in all birthing and creatively powerful experience. Students learn to connect with deep inner resources and to embrace the profound transformative power present at birth and within the creative process generally. Although we are focused on the creative experience of birthing, we seek to understand the birth environment and its requirements as a template to better understand how to work with the creative force in all creative environments. Counseling professionals who work with expectant mothers will also find the content of this workshop useful for working with their clients as will artists.
This workshop will:
• Help you and/or others prepare for birth more intentionally.
• Help you understand how to properly direct the power that arises in birthing and creative environments.
• Explore birth as a rite of passage and understand the possibilities that open when birth is seen or experienced in this way.

• Are an expectant mother or partner seeking to have an empowering birth experience.
• Have a sense that birthing and artistic expression is a deeply spiritual experience and want to explore this further.
• Are a birth professional seeking ways to better manage energy in the birth environment and protect yourself and your patients from burn out.
