The Circle of Shamanic Practitioners offers a certificate in Applied Shamanic Counseling for which the Foundation of the Sacred Stream is an approved provider of the required training courses. The Applied Shamanic Counseling program provides a coherent training in shamanic healing that is highly relevant to the psycho-spiritual needs of modern people, and a time-tested methodology students can master in order to offer ongoing support to those they serve. This training offers an intensive practicum to help students step into a deeper understanding of the unique way Applied Shamanic practice works with the shamanic journey to facilitate spiritual development and support the evolution of awareness. This training also offers an alternative to traditional spiritual counseling models, in that the client is offered a non-dogmatic method of contacting inner wisdom that becomes the basis for psycho-spiritual exploration. The emphasis of the counseling work is on the relationship the client develops with their inner wisdom rather than on the development of the relationship between the counselor and client. Counselors learn how to facilitate the deepening relationship the client forms with inner guidance as long-standing issues are effectively addressed.
